Hi! My name is Bethanne. Welcome to my blog, Beyond The I Do. Literally, about life after saying “I do”. My husband, Chris, and I live in Western North Carolina. We just wrapped up 11 years of marriage, beginning our 12th.

I love the outdoors: hiking, gardening, traveling, the beginning of each new season, and camping. I also love the indoors: movies, board games, and reading.

The idea for this blog came from our commitment for a strong marriage, along with a sincere desire to write and encourage others. Chris and I have faced many trials through our 11 years. One of those was my being diagnosed with cancer in 2012. (I’m cancer-free now!) Thanks to Jesus and prayer we came out the other side stronger than ever.

The trials we have endured have shaped us and grown us. But so has the laughter and the love. My prayer for you and your spouse is that your marriage will thrive. Thanks for stopping by!
